If you would like to take a break from the beach while being on vacation in Destin, then I suggest you will be delighted to visit this enjoyable hands-on science museum. Emerald Coast Science Center is small, but full of great interactive, educational and fun activities for kids of all ages.

They can play and touch almost everything - bubble tables, gravity ramps, building, puzzles, making electricity, robots, microscopes, etc. And all these activities are accompanied by short descriptions explaining how and why they work.

The most exciting part is of course the robotic arms that can be controlled to pick up and move balls and blocks. Do not miss the outdoor area with the turtles, as well.

As you can see there are more than enough activities to keep the kids interested and entertained for at least an hour and a half.
